Sefrou Museum of Multiculturalism (SMM): A Micro-Museum with a Macro-Message
The Sefrou Museum of Multiculturalism (SMM) fuses the historical with present-day relevance through both contemporary and historical everyday objects, local stories, academic research, and multimedia documentation of the history and heritage of Sefrou.
As a civic non-profit, we work with both local communities and visitors. The museum acts as an important archive where research, collected information, images, and objects that represent Multicultural traces of people and societies who have left their contributions to Serfouian society. Linking academic research with a civic arts and culture program, a principal purpose for SMM is to act as a catalyst for projects that highlight the many traces of cultures that transcended time and left their mark on Sefrou. The museum also serves as a community hub, an important archive, and a tool for dialogue.
Located within the heart of the old city, SMM provides the physical interface for the Sefrou Association for Multicultural Arts (SAMA) with the people of the medina. Local, national, and international visitors are invited to reexamine concepts of home, place of origin, and what both mean for themselves and the people of Sefrou today.

Al Huddadine Coworking Space, Sefrou Medina
Embodying the spirit of collaboration and crafts(wo)manship this hub and incubator takes its name from its location in Sefrous medina, Al Huddadine, meaning (in Arabic) Ironmongers Guild.
SAMA is actively fostering community and capacity building around an emerging arts and cultural movement. Central to this effort is the establishment of a co-working space, which serves as a vital hub and incubator for arts and cultural engineers and entrepreneurs. This space provides a supportive ecosystem that fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth, empowering individuals to realize their creative visions and contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Sefrou and beyond.
