Shaping Sefrou

Shaping Sefrou is a transformative training initiative led by SAMA in partnership with local, national and international collaborators. Our project is dedicated to empowering the youth community of Sefrou, by fostering a culture of creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

At the core of Shaping Sefrou is our commitment to nurturing the next generation of cultural leaders and change-makers. Through a comprehensive training program, we equip young Sefrouians with essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to drive positive change in their communities. From arts project management and cultural entrepreneurship to leadership and community engagement, our curriculum empowers participants to thrive in the dynamic field of arts and culture.

However, Shaping Sefrou transcends being solely a training program—it’s a collaborative endeavor aimed at leveraging the rich cultural heritage of Sefrou for the betterment of its residents and beyond. By partnering with local civic organizations, regional and global universities, and organizations, we harness collective expertise and resources to magnify our impact and reach.

Through strategic alliances, our goal is to unlock the full potential of Sefrou’s cultural ecosystem. From preserving traditional heritage and practices to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, our project strives to create a vibrant and sustainable cultural landscape that celebrates diversity and fosters social cohesion.

Key elements of Shaping Sefrou include a 9-month training program, and collaborative projects that engage participants in hands-on learning and skill-building activities. Participants work closely with experienced mentors and industry professionals, gaining invaluable insights and networking opportunities.

SAMA and  Shaping Sefrou envision a vibrant cultural ecosystem where creativity flourishes, entrepreneurship thrives, and communities are empowered to shape their own destinies. By investing in the next generation of cultural leaders and fostering collaboration across sectors, we believe Sefrou can become a model for inclusive and sustainable development in Morocco and beyond with an arts and cultural program as its catalyst.
